Lunar New Year Dinner & Lion Dance

Join us to celebrate the Lunar New Year – Year of the Snake with a Chinese buffet dinner accompanied by a traditional Asian Lion Dance!

The Lion Dance is an important ritual in Asian tradition believed to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits. River Lotus Lion Dance from Louisville will be joining us to present a fun, interactive Lion Dance to celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year. This non-profit group is dedicated to keeping the tradition of the Lion Dance alive and well. In addition to the performance, they will explain some of the history of the Dance and give attendees the chance to interact with the Lion and the dancers.

You'll enjoy a delicious Chinese buffet catered by Oriental Wok and a performance sure to leave you smiling! The price covers your dinner (including tip) and the show; beverages and a cash bar are available.

Note: Generate good luck all year by participating in the tradition known as hongbao in Mandarin/lai see in Cantonese. You'll be provided with a traditional red envelope to hold offerings that you will then "feed" to the Lion. These offerings are donations to River Lotus to help thank them for their performance and support their mission. "Feeding the Lion" is especially fun for kids!
